No Surprise, Stanzi as 3rd string again.

Ricky should get his dad to complain to the coach and demand that he be the starter or he's transferring.

You guys that say Ricky doesn't have the talent to be an NFL QB really crack me up. HE IS AN NFL QB!!!! The NFL is a cutthroat business. If you've watched Hard Knocks on HBO you'd know what I mean. It's not like Stanzi was a top 10 draft pick that hasn't risen the depth chart and earned the starting job. He's always been a project QB and this is only his 2nd freakin year in the league. If he was as bad as some of you make him sound he wouldn't be on a team. Simple as that. Stop making yourselves look like idiots.

I actually agree with Okeefeforprez for once. Stanzi has got it made. He's a back-up QB on a team in the Midwest which is where he is from, and where he played college ball. He's in a situation where he can develop and possibly earn a chance to play. The reason people compare him to Tom Brady is because no one was blown away by what Brady did on the practice field. He worked his butt off until he was given a chance to prove himself on the field. No one is saying he is Tom Brady, it's his situation that is similar. He kind of reminds me of a Chad Pennington type QB. I think he could be good enough to win some games as an NFL player. However, he'd have to be the QB of a team that has a great defense and a lot of talent around him on offense. The Chiefs have many pieces, but they're yet to put it all together.

The Bears backup Caleb Haney has been in the league for 4 years, collecting a paycheck, and then last year Cutler goes down and Haney absolutely stunk. Ricky is going to have job opportunities for the next decade in this league, where backup qb depth is horrible. As long as his body is not getting hammered,he can play forever...give him 2-3 years to absorb the position, then he can look to really getting paid...kind of like Cassel, who was a backup for Brady that got huge money as a F/A.

You never know. Nobody thought Tom Brady was going to be much in the NFL (after having a college career similar to Stanzi's) and then one big hit on Drew Bledsoe changed everything.

Careful with this, Brady added a lot of muscle and more importantly added arm strength once he got to the NFL, do you know how rare that is to gain arm strength once you leave college? Brady is a unique cat, he would be the first one to admit that he needed some breaks and a little luck.

So you're saying I shouldn't expect him to be as good as Brady? Man, I'm gonna lose many bets...

Sounds like Quinn has been underwhelming in OTA’s. If rick can keep improving and find himself as the #2 heading into the season I’d be satisfied.
