Nicknames for Iowa Players

When you're back (or at least you have a team that the fan base is actually interested in) you have to have nicknames for the players. Sorry if these are lame or have been listed before, but here are some ideas:

1. Woodbury: The Big Woody
2. McCabe: Mack the Knife
3. White: Ginga Ninja
3. Basabe: Spicy
4. May: Mayday
5. Gasell: The Zell
6. Clemmons: Sweetness (just kinda like that one)
7. Marble: Business Meeting
8. Olaseni: The Big English

I'm struggling, obviously. Any ideas?

A lot of them already have nicknames.

Woodbury's is Woody
White's is Whitey
Basabe's is Slime
Clemmons is Sapp or Sappy

I like your ideas for Marble, Olaseni, and May.

Ginga Ninja could work for Gesell too.

McCabe's could be "Fouled Out"....just kidding:) McRage could work for Zach

I heard someone drop Josh.O on Oglesby which wasn't too bad.

I've been calling Gesell "G-Money"

This thread makes me want to punch someone in the face.

"Mack the Knife"? How were you not embarrassed to type that?

Pat Ingram-Patty Cake?

Anyway on the note that Josh.O is a nick name...It's not, it's his first name and last name initial.

My favorite is Fran calling White "Whitey." It's as awesomely politically incorrect as Fran's old "White Magic" nickname.

If i was White, i would insist on being called uncle cracker instead of Whitey. But that is just me ;).

I would again, like to re-emphasize how horrible this concept is, and even more horribly, how it was executed and presented. Heads need to roll for this kind of garbage.

I think the entire team should be called "We're ugly as **** and still more ***** than you".

Clemmons: Mark Twain
May: reminds me more of Mercury (Freddie, that is)

I'm with Ghost. Nicknames are dumb. Unless they make no sense, or are based on an inside joke.

I'd like to propose "Napoleon" for Ghost. :D And, no offense, my friend, but you've derailed any number of threads with childish banter that ranks at least as low on the tatum pole as player nicknames.

Napoleon already belongs to another poster, or at least that's what his complex is called.

BTW, if there was ever a thread that needed derailing, this was it.

I am impressed that someone would correctly use the word "horrible" in one spot of their post and then a few words later also use the word "horribly" correctly as well. Nothing personal against most of you, but you don't see that everyday (said the journalism major from Iowa):)

P.S. - I have corrected the closed paren issue (noted in a subsequent responding post), which was actually a result of a smiley face showing up instead of the colon then the closed end, for whay that is worth. But the typo on the apostrophe in the word "well" and the lack of capitalized "N" in nothing were a direct result of typing to fast on an iPad. My bad. If I mention the J-School angle I need to be more careful, to be sure.
