I see this team being a 3 machine this year. Fran said that Oglesby is the best shooter he has ever coached which is quite the statement for a freshman. White can hit it and if McCabe and Gatens can get it going like we know they can this won't happen too often.

Jon... I'm just as excited as those who think we are now a lock for the NCAA's. I'm just as down because we still don't have a true back-up point nor another really athletic, super quick guard who can score at will and shut down the opponet's best guard.

But hey ... we're all smiling, enjoy the style, and intensity of Fran's Mac Mad ball... and probably the post season this year... a Sweet Sixteen soon and ..... the sky is the limit.

Holy outrageous. Let's see how White matches up against some athletic bigs before going around declaring him the best player on the team. He needs to add a ton of weight still, but he does have a good skill set. The Big Ten might be a little rough on him this season, especially if he is seeing time at the 4/5.

Um, no one thinks we are a lock for the dance or even thinking about it. You are getting this from people being happy with what they saw tonight?
 
The thing about White is that he will have a chance to get stronger and iron out some things this year. He will develop physically and have more of a B1G body next year when the real help arrives.

People talk about Street. I don't really see that. White has a smoothness to his game that if he can get stronger and still maintain that quality will make him a unique player for this program.
 
they are the worst team, but to beat them 43 pts is more positive than beating them by 10, espcially since the bench of Iowa outscored their team 57-53. to look at it, you can say Iowa has a deep team for a change and we still have 1 more player to add
 
I know Iowa beat probably the worst team in D1 this year but let's face it 2 years ago this would have been a 10-15 point win and it would have been boring as heck to watch. I get the level of talent Iowa was playing but that game was fun to watch. I do not like losing but the way Iowa was losing 2 years ago was brutal to even watch, I used to fall asleep watching Iowa basketball.
 
Here is another: Some Iowa fans would complain if their reprieve from the gas chamber came too close to the time they were scheduled to be executed:)
