The program is in much, much better shape than it was five years ago. But now we simply need better players. We thought Gesell and Woody were those players. Gesell is all right. Woody isn't.

Go get multiple guards and a center, please.
 
Yep X100.....got to get better players to compete with the top 10 teams. But, the program still moved forward this year.
 
I'm not sure how we're going to be that good next year. I really hope we can replace White and find some depth in the post game.

Also, I really want some good shooters. I want to be able to go off from three like that Zags did this game.
 
We will be ok. Need to get a legit center. I think we might take a step backwards next year, but I like the recruits coming in. Center play and outside shooting is the difference in 20+ wins or not.
 
I'm not concerned about getting a legit center....but we need to upgrade overall athleticism and find someone who's a legit threat from deep.

I think the athleticism part is coming in, but we need Jok to be more consistent and hope that Ellingson can play some D.

I second this statement....and please quit feeling compelled to shoehorn into the game players like #2....who quite frankly, played like #2 all year long. Don't be afraid to play guys that obviously have more talent and athleticism....you mean to tell me that Uhl couldn't play better than #2???
 
We have seen improvements over the time that Fran has been here. Hopefully we have someone coming in that can put the ball in the hoop and hopefully not just from the forward position. You all know what I mean too!!! White 19 Uthoff 20 showed up whar the rest of the team???
 
Fran needs to fill the last scholarship with an impact transfer like a Wiltjer is for Gonzaga or a JUCO that can make an impact to add to the pieces returning. Can't have another freshmen "project" at this point, that's way too many to depend on providing some quality minutes next season.

i don't want to get all Lincoln/Kennedy on you, but someone tweeted about that Fleming kid coming in, so I clicked his Twitter page ... And it appears his girlfriend is named ERIN WHITE. Not joking.

I assume this is some kind of sign, and we should pull the scholarship if he breaks up with her.

Iowa actually shot 51% from 2 pt land... which is solid.

Problem is Gonzaga shot 62% from 3pt land... and made 10 to Iowa's 5

15 pt advantage (won by 19)

Pretty obvious to see really.
 
It's going in the right direction but we need to continue to get better across the board.

Need to to get much more athletic and or better at shooting 3s.

this team wasn't really either .

that said, I'm happy with 1 win. This team team did not underachieve like last year.
