I had several conversations with Pasadena residents while my family and I spent some time shopping on Colorado Ave. My observations were 1)They are really nice, engaging people and nothing like what I was expecting at all, and 2)They sure do love their Parade!

We should write a collective apology note to the City of Pasadena for dropping that gigantic, steaming turd in their town. The smell from that is going to take decades to go away.

Was sort of surprised how nice everyone was out there actually. Even in downtown LA, the folks seemed pretty nice.

Definitely not the East Coast, that's for sure.

I talked to a lot of locals downtown and was really surprised at how nice everyone was.

Many years ago when I was in my early twenties my brother and I moved from Iowa out to California. We were shocked at how open and friendly most people out there were. Every evening in our large apartment complex everyone would leave there front doors open in their apartments so that they could openly chat with people as they walked by the open doorways. It was a good way to get to know who your neighbors were (especially the young cute ones :) ) Our complex was like some motels where your doorways all faced the outside.
