Nice article from Keeler on the big game last night.

Pretty optimistic view on the Clones, IMO. Read like an ISU press release.

Undermanned, overlooked, they keep finding a way.
Is that what you're calling "pretty optimistic"?
ISU is undermanned...and very overlooked...and has overcome their limitations to start out fairly well this season. But that's hardly an assertion of wild optimism...he's clearly just saying they play with a lot of heart. I don't think Keeler, or anyone at ISU, sees much more than a .500 season at this point...which, given where the team was 8 months ago, would be quite astounding. The talent infusion arriving for NEXT season is what will make things interesting at ISU.

Very optimistic. I agree w/you & Keeler - it's going to be a fun ride, enjoy.

I hope everyone realizes that if Iowa wins you get the exact same article with relevant names changed and the story about the program, well instead of, "disrespect to the clones" that changes to a "new attacking attitude for the hawks". I would stop reading the DSM register and their website.

Funny when he says good things about a team those fans say it is a nice article, but when he is critical and honest and good things don't get wrote like he was of the ISU football team this year then he is an idiot.

This. It's mostly rubbish.....except for the cartoons section.

It's a well known fact that the Register is a pro-ISU paper. I remember a few years ago they came out and admitted this as it was a business plan to sell more papers in central Iowa since they are close to Ames.

Link to back this up?

The DSM Register is a for-profit business, they will do what they need to do to sell papers.

Keeler only writes positive articles about the Hawks when there is no way around it. He prefers the Clones...always has and always will. I read his articles like today's because I enjoy good solid fiction every now and then. Even if I was a Clone I wouldn't be real happy with him because his articles are always so bad.
