NFLPA to decertify before lockout

The article makes in pretty clear.

"The primary reason for decertification would be to file for an injunction that, if granted, would prevent the owners from locking out the players. NFLPA officials and players believe that this could be the only hope to have a full NFL season next year. "
 
I got that part. I'm guessing that this then allows the players to take legal action. If this is done as a group wouldn't the reason for decertification be transparent and thus get thrown out of court?

I don't see how it would save the season either. It would take weeks or months to get anything heard in the courts and the season would be over before it gets resolved.
