Next year's Roster

An early look at next year's roster and my overall team expectations:

Potential starters:

Point: Payne
Shooting Guard: Tucker
Small Forward: Gatens
Power Forward: Fuller
Center: Cole

Bench (in order of predicted playing time):
Eric May
Brust
Larson
Cougill
Marble
McCabe

Overall wins: 17
Big 10 wins: 8 regular season, 1 BT Tourney game
Postseason: NIT

what? no playing time for Little Lick??? come on!!:D

PG-Payne, Williams
SG-Gatens, Brust, Marble
WF-May, McCabe
SF-Larson, Archie
C-Cole, Cougill

Thats interesting because Fuller is on our roster and is probably playing the best on the team. I say its interesting because we continue to hear rumblings about possible transfers at the end of the season....hummm?

My starters:

PG - Payne / Marble
SG - Gatens / May / McCabe
WF - Fuller / Gatens / May
PF - Larson / Fuller / Archie
C - Cole / Cougill / Larson

Lick will probably go:

Payne
McCabe
May
Gatens
Cole

IF Tucker is back I don't change my starters but May gets bumped from his two spot on SG and moves to the third spot with McCabe the odd man out.

I am assuming that you left off Fuller as an oversight?

I said this before the PSU game but Fuller's development I really believe is key for next year. I am very intrigued if he can continue this type of play. I am also watching if Lick can find ways to get him more involved. In PSU he would have went long stretches without touching the ball in the paint except for his offensive rebounding. I just think his skill of rebounding and finishing with both hands is really unique. He needs confindence and a big part of that is coaching.

If Fuller continues to play well and if we find help at the PG position I think 18 wins next year is doable. Remember we have UNI and ISU coming here next year. ISU appears to be in turmoil and UNI will graduate a lot. If we can sweep the instate series we have a shot at 18 wins.
