Anybody else out there wish there was another Hawks basketball game today or Sunday after that cluster of a football game yesterday? The game against Nebby on Monday night can't come quick enough and then it's Sparty on Thursday. Let's hope Fran and the crew can get on a roll and help wipe out the memories of a very poor football season.

That's chick-ball. But let me tell you, those chicks can really light it up. (100 pts vs Drake) A very fun team to watch. I will definitely tune in.

Nebraska tomorrow will be interesting... Their defense will probably be better than OSU. If nothing other than staying out of the zone. I am not sure how Thadd Matta forget about Iowa not being able to create, but I am sure glad he did! Nebby will be a good test for Iowa. With the real test being MSU on Thursday... If we can keep these shots falling from outside, we will be a tough out for anyone.
I think it would really be helpful in developing fan interest in Iowa women basketball if the web sites would try and support the women. You can always find out about the mens recruits, ect. , but they do very little for the women. With the expansion of television, I think the women have the potential to have a huge drawing of fan support. Probably in the near future someone with power will realize how much more money they can make with more exposure to the women basketball program. Your talking about a lot of money.

Iowa vs Nebraska line opened at Iowa -11. Seems high and I think that number will come down, but I don't know more than the guys in the desert. Makes me feel better about tomorrow.

The line seems about right. Nebraska has played 3 road games. They lost at Rhode Island by 4 in OT; lost at Hawaii by 8; and won at Florida State by 5. They also lost at home to Creighton by 10 and at home by 1 to Incarnate Word. They have their talent back from last season...but have played like 11 point underdogs thus far.

I'll second that. A win tomorrow night and Thursday night will help, for sure. If they can play with the same type of focus and confidence (to borrow from Coach Driscoll) they showed against OSU, it's not out of the question.

I think Nebraska has been missing their two key inside post guys all season long. They are both supposed to be back in a week to 10 days, so its probably good we are getting the Huskers now. I think once they get those guys back it'll open things back up for their slashers.
