If I throttles opponents the rest of the season, do they have a chance on sneaking in? Would they be considered with 3 loses? You would think at least 4 teams from teams BIG10 and SEC get in easy. Go Hawks

No, if the Big Ten gets 4 teams, they will be

Oregon (projected 13-0 or 12-1)
Indiana (projected 12-1 or 11-1)
Ohio St (projected 11-2 or 10-2)
Penn St (projected 11-2 or 11-1)

All 4 teams above will have less than 3 losses. The SEC will have a similar lineup with 3 or 4 teams. The ACC and Big 12 will both get 2 teams each. G5 will get 1 team.

Iowa has no chance.

If we had beat Iowa State…….. maybe. Even so Michigan State was a terrible loss.

Thanks Kirk for not playing Sully against Iowa State. I hope you swallow your gum!

I'm just happy to watch successful football.
When was the last time Iowa was #3 in scoring in the Big 10 (2nd if Oregon wasn't in yet)?

A QB who rarely looks "lost" or helpless.
KJ doing KJ things.
2 other punishing backs.
An effective offensive line.
True complimentary football.

Lets take it one step at a time. Let's try to get ranked in the Top 25 again.

UCLA is a dangerous team that just upset Nebraska. Now Iowa has to turn around after it's big win and travel all the way to the Rose Bowl to play on a Friday night. This has trap game written all over it.

How many years have we said this same thing?

It's not about "throttling" weak opponents. It's about beating someone (especially on the road) of significance. And through recent years, that's not something we do. In part, we have so few opportunities to because of our light schedule.
