I'm actually in my 25th year of attending games, and regardless of where it falls in the yellow spectrum, our official colors are black and gold. You are obviously not a student of history or facts.

You are completely incorrect. Gold has never been an official color of the UI.
It is actually "old gold" which for at least the last 50 years has meant YELLOW. And the next tiime I see a gold shirt at Kinnick (also a 20 year plus season ticket holder here) will be my first.
Learn a little something about UI football history next time before making yourself look like an idiot.
