Newbill, Garner & Pat Chambers Postgame

I think Pat Chambers is a really good and highly underrated coach. If he were at a name brand program instead of a graveyard I think many would realize this and he would win a lot of games. He reminds me of Izzo.

Ecstatic that we got this win but do feel bad for Pat overall given the basketball challenges at PSU. This is also a cautionary tale of what can happen if your program becomes a graveyard and be careful about firing good coaches like Fran just because there are disappointments. Yes we had many idiot posters in this fan base talking about turning Fran over. Wow!

Not a fan of Pat, he never should have went to PSU, but I don't see him getting players that will change the program...but after all it is PSU basketball.

Pat Chambers cant believe how the hawks were able to make a couple 3s with 5 seconds left on the clock.

Join the club Pat, Fran would have 15 mores wins but for last second daggers and Iowa can seldom get one for themselves.

Heck, Steve Alford might still be here or at least one his last NCAA game if not for a dagger.

I actually like Pat. But everything PennState makes me wanna puke. All I can think of is the children who had their entire lives ruined.

Ohio State has been in a couple of Final Fours and Florida won two championships in a row just in the last 10 years. Doesn't sound too tough to me.

No kidding, I wish it were just as tough to win at Iowa as it is at those two places.

Does he come back next year or do they fire him? At 3-13 would Fran get another year? Close games or not that is a horrible conference record. If he doesn't get fired then he better make hay next year for sure. He had to know what he was getting himself into when he took the job.

Tough to win at Penn State, although there is plenty of talent on that team. 6 losses by 6 points or less this year!

So yea not to pile on or anything but OSU and FL are pretty dog gone solid programs. Their coaches are top notch. No way can they be defined as "tough" places to coach under that pretense and being lumped in with those others. You can say those are football first schools. That'd be fair. But those two programs are top 20 jobs to have no doubt about it.
