New ranking? #4 'Nova just beaten

I just looked it up, every team in front of us except for UNC lost this week. Top 4 is possible but I don't want to jump until after next week. Let's see how we do against Maryland first.
 
I have to believe Top 5 now. Looks like everyone in the Top 10, except UNC, A&M and Iowa, lost this week.

I don't think OU will drop far - @ISU won't be considered bad loss, so I expect them to stay in the Top 3-4, UNC the new #1. A&M (I'm guessing) may stay ahead of us, so I'll go with #4.

Edit: Just saw A&M is behind us in the AP, but head of us in the coaches. So dang, #3 may be possible in the AP.. #2? Dunno about that, but depends on OU.
 
No question top 5. It will be either 3 or 4. North carolina and Oklahoma for sure. Than possibly Kansas. I don't see how any other team will stay ahead of us and there is zero chance of being jumped by someone behind us.
 
The Hawks have by far the best resume in the country. That should be good enough to get them in the top 4.

No choice in the matter. We're jumping. Maryland is the 4th best team in the conference from what I've seen all year.

Maryland has probably the most NBA talent of any team in the conference. But I think Iowa is probably the best team in the conference. It will be a great game and am looking forward to it.
 
I saw a tweeT of teams that have only 1 win against teams "in the field". Indiana and Maryland were both on that list. We might have 8.
 
Curious to see Lunardi's new Bracketology this week as well. I figured Iowa was a "soft" 2 seed last week, strong 2 at worst this week. Will we supplant either KU or Nova as a 1 seed?

I agree they have the most talent. They sure don't play like it tho.
 
Unc is crushing VT right now. Kansas lost to unranked oklahoma state so they should fall some. It's not hard to imagine iowa ranked 3rd next week. Crazy to think.

Just because...I'm going to say iowas ranked 5th next week and we're all ******. I certainly think 3rd is possible.

Also...I think iowa might jump up to a 1 seed in the projected tournament seedings
 
Does anyone think there is a chance Kansas stays ahead of us? They got killed by Oklahoma State. If they don't, number 3 is between Iowa and Villanova who just lost at home to a good team while we beat a good team by double digits. I think we will be 3 for sure.

I personally don't see how they should.. With all the Top 10 losses this week, lots of room for Iowa to move up into the Top 5. I don't think KU should stay Top 5 after that loss, but who knows. There'll be a lot of shuffling in the new polls, so we'll see where everyone lands.

More I think about it, the more I think #3 is a good possibility.

39-34 UNC at halftime, so VT getting back into it a bit. Go Hokies!
 
Iowa may have had the toughest schedule and are undefeated in perhaps best conference. Oh...and won 6 of those 7 conf games by double digits...top 3 and a 1 seed.
 
We'll be 3rd. If you look at resume only should be 2nd I think, North Carolina will be 1 or 2 (if they win today) but really should consider the UNI loss. Basketball polls don't really do that and ultimately it means dick. If we sweep this week we may be number 1 next week...
