I think we're in better shape with Henrich than most realize. I know at least one of his parents is an Iowa alum.

I hope you're right, but there is some stiff competition for him, and, of course, there is the Frost effect. Word is, is that he is a priority target for them to keep in-state, along with his teammate, Hickman, whom we are pursuing strongly as well.

His father played tennis for Iowa, so there is that, but his recruitment has really heated up. I believe he also has offers from Notre Dame and PSU.

We are in on some good LBs. Campbell and Kiser look like good bets, and Henrich would be a great get, but it will be very difficult to pull him out of Omaha.

I still find it very perplexing that any offensive line recruit within a 500 mile radius of I.C. would not have Iowa on his short list. With our reputation and track record, it just doesn't make any sense, and, ironically, it's been an issue for several years. Thankfully, that aberration appears to be changing recently, but it's getting a bit tiring relying on walk-ons and converted TEs.

From what I can ascertain, Carroll has been a strong ND lean for some time. It's not going to hurt seeing two of their offensive linemen go in the first round of the draft.
