New drill for spring practice

How many times in the history of Iowa football has an Iowa player dropped/ thrown down the ball just before crossing the goal line?

I recall only once-today-but it should never happen, cross the goal line hand the ball to the official .

For a second I misread and thought this was about crossing the first down marker and handing the ball to the official.

I highly doubt Lowdermilk (or any other player on the team) is going to make that mistake again.

He made a goof BUT we scored so I am not going to be hard on him.
Though he did whiff on fat Hill a few times.

The good thing is Lowdermilk realized he F'd up bad and you could see him on the sidelines regretting it. I've seen that crap happen before a few times to other teams and never once did I think an Iowa kid would do that. I don't get it really. What's the point of dropping the ball immediately after crossing the goal line?

Lowdermilk was really upset with himself. Just a mental lapse. Thankful no harm done.

I think he will have a good year next year.

That's what made it so unbelievable... it's the type of thing you'd never expect from a KFz team or player.

I'm more disappointed in his matador defense against LSU's running game.

They really only had 2 drives, albeit dominating ones, so I thought the def played well enough. But he missed a couple tackles, for sure.
