New Commit!

This is unbelievable! I've never seen so many commits so early in the year. The only thing I worry about is some of the kids jumping ship.

Campus must of sold Mr Gordon!

Yeah, that's exactly it! His eyes were probably agape looking at the meat market!!! What better day to visit campus, before even a fraction of the freshman 15 can be gained, and the chicks are still tan.

KF is pulling down a helluva a class...I can only hope we stay healthy and play up to expectations this season!

They just moved him from a 4 star to a 3 star last week. THey must have known he was gonna commit here!!!!

I kid, I kid!!! Great pickup!!!!!!!

It looks like he was recruited as an "Athlete" and he is only 185 pounds at 6 feet tall. So the question is: What position is he going to play? He seems too small for RB at this level, but with that speed could have a good shot at Safety.

Or does he just wait to be Doylized and try for a spot on the RB roster after getting somewhere north of 205 pounds?

Gordon was recruited at RB by the Iowa coaches. He's an RB all the way. The kid has great versatility and the Iowa O will exploit that versatility.

And yes ... the young man will require physical development. However, they often do.

That has little bearing on where the Iowa coaches had been recruiting him at. For instance, for a long time most recruiting web-services were listing Hounshell at DE. However, schools like Iowa and Florida were expressly recruiting him at OT. Only now is the rivals site listing him as an OL recruit.

Similarly, Derby was listed as a ATH by many of the websites ... and yet the Iowa coaches recruited him at QB.

He could be used like a Percy Harvin type (I am not claiming he is PH).

A little bit at RB and a little bit at a slot receiver, which is one place Iowa has lacked a dynamic player, as we are now seeing a lot of pro and college teams utilizing (ie, Welker, Gonzales, Harvin, etc).

Regardless of where he plays, he has talent!
