Totally agree with ya Norwalk. What's a rivalry without a little friendly ribbing here and there Stewo? Isn't that the point? You don't have to come over to a Hawkeye board if you don't want to see it. As far as your comment questioning who the real big brother is... well if ISU is the big brother in your mind wouldn't the Cyclones be the team with 7 committments instead of 0?

Another solid get for the Hawks. Gotta love the quick start to the recruiting year (by Iowa standards). I think you have to give some of the credit to the new members of the coaching staff for infusing some energy into the program. Fans and recruits can get equally excited about that.

That was pointed at me buzz. I'm a hawk fan and don't mind giving cyclone fans crap, but do it on the rivalry forum. This thread was about a kid giving his committment to be a hawkeye for the next 4-5 years, but everyone wants to bag on the clones. That just doesn't make sense to me. I guess I just don't get the bash them every chance you get cause they're ISU.

And really norwalk, calling me a little dog, come on. You're better than that.
 
How many schollies does Iowa have to offer this year? At this rate half the class will be filled up before the camp in June.

This is a very healthy start to the recruiting year. And the thing is some of these kids are right on the boarder of 4*. Some will probably make the jump after they get re-evaluated.

It looks like Hawk fans reaching for attention. That screams little brother to me. It is what it is. By the way, I wouldn't post here if I didn't enjoy the rivalry.
 
It seems like Iowa is going to have a small class in numbers with only 17 seniors this year....so will we exceed 20 overall? I hate small classes...we always need more players!

Still,this is a good get,it seems. We are doing well in the Indy area with Kinney and Kenney....keep it going,Iowa staff!!

You know there will ultimately be some attrition somewhere that gets us back up to around 20. Unfortunate but it's the way it is.

Not everyone wants to bag on the Clones man lighten up a little. Most people are commenting on the new recruit and I'm sure everyone is glad he's a Hawk. A little jab was thrown out there to Cyclone Nation... big deal. I just didn't think it was serious enough for you to come in and start acting like Wyatt Earp by telling people where they need to post. It's Friday and the Hawks have kicked off recruiting in a great way. Why so serious?
 
Always amazes me how quickly a topic gets highjacked and by the end of a thread the original topic gets completely lost. I know it's a message board ... I get it ... Just frustrating to open up a thread re: a topic that sounds interesting and then you read 10 replies that go back and forth ... Let it go people ... For the record ... not sure how ISU ended up in this thread (and many others like it) ... Yes, it's a rivalry ... but makes no sense to tie in ISU when the topic has nothing to do with their program ...

Either way, Iowa is certainly putting together a nice class. I am concerned about the lack of commits right now, but I don't have the knowledge that the staff does. I won't be too worried until if be the end of May there aren't any commits.
