New Class of '17 Big Board

Calloway will be "officially decommitting" this week/weekend. It is just a formality as Calloway move on awhile ago. Not sure why he has waited so long to make it official, but that will change here pretty soon.

No onto the big board. We really need some postive momentum in the program. If we can somehow still get a Martin and Nelson (looking unlikely) a Maxwell and Thomas would be great. I'm just not very confident right now on getting any of them to campus.

I've had Calloway gone for at least a few weeks. Iowa has moved on.

Nelson will be on his official here this weekend. I think Johnston will official.

Probably have to the best shot with Green.

I like the recruiting big board of players list, but the key will be how many pledge to Iowa.

We lost Eno Benjamin and Chevin Calloway, to come, as decommits already. Who else will jump ship?

I'd like to see Oliver Martin as the WR we need, but will be tough.

Who do we see as getting from this list? Nelson may go to Wisconsin. Martin may go to Michigan. Branch may go to Wisconsin as well.

I just don't see Iowa getting Martin. He didn't commit right away, has offers from elite programs, and has had front row seats for a dismal offense and overall disappointing year. Saturday certainly won't help. Harbaugh will put Darboh and Chesson in the NFL while Iowa attempts 2 throws a game over 15 yards.

There is a lot of tension going on right now on the Wisconsin campus. It will be interesting to see if it effects recruiting. As horrible as it sounds, good recruiters would find a way to take advantage of that situation and use it against them. You can bet if that stuff happened at Iowa, other schools would be killing them for it.

At this point in the game, Iowa's performance on the field impacts how it will finish the class. The kids that already pledged did so with Iowa coming off a 12-2 season before the slide this fall. They bought into last year's product.

Nelson comes in on an official this weekend. Should be a great environment but the Hawkeyes have to play competitively against Michigan. He officially visited Wisconsin when it beat Nebraska at night.

Iowa certainly has the opportunity but the odds seem insurmountable vs. MI. It would have to be a contender for upset of the year if it took place. Like some others, I'm seeing the glass half empty with the remaining recruits on the board. Would be interesting to know who our default candidates are if some of these visitors choose elsewhere. There's going to be a flurry of recruit flips and flops in the next couple months that always have a domino effect right down the food chain. We could be impacted certainly.

........here's hoping not many boo birds show up Saturday.

Pretty easy to recruit against Iowa at this point - bad team on the field, boring schemes, and coaches who can't or won't do anything to fix things.

Good thing their recruiting practices / policies are getting so much good publicity!

Bad week for Nelson to visit. They have the best chance with Green on the list and even he isn't a lock for Iowa. It is pretty bad season all around. On the field and in recruiting.

Maybe I'm lost but cannot find anything on what is happening Wisconsin campus of note. Do tell

Some student showed up to a Wisconsin football game wearing a costume depicting Obama with a rope & a noose around his neck. Many athletes, including Nigel Hayes and several black football players are citing racial discrimination. If you go to the ESPN.com NCAA football section there should still be a story up.

You have to give Wisconsin credit. At many places this would be a distraction. They just keep rolling.

I guess there really still are in-bred rednecks out there like this guy. Sad.

OU continues it’s search for speed at wide receiver jumping into the recruiting process for three-star receiver Gavin Holmes (5’11 1/2, 178, 4.43).

sounds like he took a recent unofficial to the Sooners as well.

I highly doubt OU offers Holmes.
