Love being in the conversation again. This weeks version is crazy BRACKETOLOGY
Has Iowa at a #6 playing winner of Tenn/Minnesota, then probably, gasp...ISU, then possibly Duke. Interesting stuff, I for one would love to get ISU on a neutral floor!

Shouldn't we be flipped with Texas so we're not playing teams we've already played until Sweet 16 at the earliest?

He doesn't't take region and previous opponents into consideration enough. Looks like no matter what he is going to try to keep Iowa and ISU together.

Earlier this morning Lunardi had Iowa and Texas swapped, which didn't make sense because it would have ISU and Texas playing in the same location. It looks like he corrected that at least. I think he puts more time into the seeds than the actual pairings at this point, which makes a lot of sense

After looking at this, I have a few positive thoughts.
1. Looks like we are a lock, happy to be in.
2. Hope we can avoid the 7 through 10 lines, happy to be projected a 6.
3. Maybe the game yesterday will give the guys the confidence they need to return to form. There is still time to improve our seed.

I don't wanna play a major conference team first round.

I don't care where we are seeded you have to win 6 games in a row to be National Champions regardless. While it is true you have a "better" draw if you are 6 versus a 13 but that said it comes down to playing your best ball and it depends on Fran doing his best coaching at tournament time. The Purdue win probably assures us of an at-large invite in the dance which I'm thrilled about. We could win 3 games or lose in the first round with this team. Just happy to be dancing once again this year. That said Fran has done a poor coaching job this year. The T's at Wisconsin ultimately cost us the game I suppose you could say that for the T in the MSU game since it went to OT. His new love fest with a 2-3 zone is mind numbing too. He's always been known as a changer of D he needs to do more of that particularly in the 2nd half. He doesn't seem to change once teams make adjustments.

If we play well and the shots are falling at or above season averages, I like out chances the first couple rounds....if we are an 8 seed or better. I'm not overly concerned about matchups, unless we play sub par.

so, if we are an 8 seed, which current 1 seed do you "like our chances" with best?

Fine, 7 seed or better then. My point is this, play well and have an average or better ahooting gameand we have a chance against most teams. I do not have massive amounts of consternation about seeding.

I would fine with having to face a 1 seed in the second round.

I admittingly view this year, team differently than many on the board. Bring on the giants early. How Far we go in the tourney, while it would be great to make 16, is not as important to me as it was to make the tourney and then hopefully play well on the big stage. That said, I want to see the Hawks play as many games as possible.

Just my perspective. I know its nuts to some.

Is it just me, or is it there too much still to be determined that will effect too many variables before Selection Sunday?

I can't even bring myself to look at Lunardi's Lunacy until that Sunday...

I'd probably say Wichita St, although outside of Florida, I think we can play with every other team in the country. And I think Wichita St is really, really good, but I just think it's very hard to adjust after playing subpar competition for two and a half months.
