New AP poll: Ohio State 5, Wisconsin 8, Penn State 12, Iowa14

Are you ready for a top ten season? I'm ready.

I am ready too but one game at a time man. I like the ranking but at the same time looking at teams from 11-25 they are all very close.

Penn St's win vs Pitt looks better now but PSU I dont think is any powerhouse and Mich seems to have issues but can we run against them like Wisky.

Beat Mid Tenn first then the first 20 minutes or so is crucial against Mich not to get behind big early.

Do you sense a neat make up of this hawk team?? A healthy defense that is really good and a gritty tough offense.

This year?

I sense an Iowa team that is playing team defense very well, and an offense that looks better than any Iowa offense in recent memory.

The schedule is daunting. But injury-free, this Iowa team looks like one of the special ones. Beat Michigan in two weeks in their house, and I think you solidify a ten win season at minimum. That's a big bowl and a recipe for a top ten ranking. If you beat Michigan, the tougher teams left on the schedule are good matchups for Iowa.

Wisconsin OL vs Iowa DL is good against good. Same OL vs DL. Penn State struggled with Pitt's ball control offense. Purdue isn't the same, and NW doesn't have a QB. I think it's lining up to be a special year.

If the hawks last year would have had the above avg running game like some years before along with Fant and TJ, easley and ISM they would have been much better last year.

I like the way are Rbacks are finding holes and making a good first cut and get yards after contact. Huge difference in avging 4.5 vs 3.5 yards per carry.

It keeps drives going. Though Iowa's been behind schedule a little more than you'd really like to see. Not that it's mattered - Stanley has been really good on third down this year. He is just so much calmer in the pocket that it is almost like he's a different player. No more happy feet. I'm excited.
