New 2012 Tailgate/Parking Rules Released

For me personally, I can wait to get the hell out of there after the game. Get home, sit my *** down on the couch and watch the other games.

Did notice for 2:30 P.M. games you can only tailgate an hour after and must leave 2 hours after the game. Compared to 11:00 A.M. games where it's 2/3 hour rule. Maybe it was like that before but I never noticed because of lack of 2:30 P.M. games.

Overall I like how they didn't mess with things really.

There were no 2:30 games last year, probably why you didn't notice. Glad to have a couple right off the bat this year.

This is our go-to spot for a number of years now:

It's a bit of a hike, but generally easy to find a spot. Anyone else tailgate here? Know if it's still good to go this year? We are coming down for the UNI game.

I will smoke a cigar both pre and post game. They will not say one word about it. This outside no smoking in the Socialist Republic of Johnson County is taking things too far.

I don't care about the rest. Pretty sure they calmed down when Gestapo went into wrong RV at a game two year's ago. Wrong donor to f with, and they have laid off.

That is so awesome that they relaxed all the drinking rules again since the rules have not changed the .0001% of fans that are alcoholic tards. Simply fantastic.

The later entry times for RVs kind of blows. It's already a clusterf*ck at 7:00 trying to get into the lots. This means that there will be more people waiting in line to get in. On top of that, factor in the actual process of getting in and parking, setting up on blocks to level out, and then getting the dish/TV set up, and it's going to be around 8:30 by the time your settled in.

First World Problems

I have an RV pass to park in the KC lot for the Penn St game but I have never parked there before. I know that the lot will open at 7:30pm on Friday but how early do I need to arrive that night to score a good spot?

Take a look at the pass. I was under the impression that KC/RV have specific parking spots in their lot. It's not a "first come first serve" like the other lots.

See if your pass mentions any specific parking space.

All KC RV passes are reserved when you come in they usually check your name off the list and your pass should have your assigned spot on it. GH RV kind of work the same way people park for the most part in same spot they have to that lot gets put together like a jigsaw puzzle.

Does anyone know if Myrtle lot will be parking cars the night before like they did in 2010? Or is it the morning of this year? And if so, what time do you think it would be best to get there in order to ensure a spot?

Myrtle Lot is cash only this year.
Last year it was at the silver hawk level, which means it opened on Friday Night.

I'm under the impression that cash-only lots open on Saturday morning.
All the priority lots open on Friday night. I'm not 100% sure that's the case with the cash lots.
At the absolute latest, it will open at 6 a.m. Saturday. And I wouldn't expect it to fill up quickly. It was a ghost town last year, and I doubt most fans realize it is a cash lot again.

Myrtle has a high percentage of students and just out of school alumni. I think the word will get out it's a cash lot again. Especially with ISU coming to town I think it fills up quickly this Saturday.
