New 2012 Tailgate/Parking Rules Released

This is a shocker for the most part. Going back to 2008 it seemed every year there was some gestapo changes each season. This year seems pretty tame. Only thing I see that changed that will affect me and some others is the RV lots open at 7:30 on Friday nights now instead of 7:00.

Hold the phone! I did see something new. Parking lots on Saturdays open at 6:00am instead of 7:00am. Interesting.

Actually, not really. Looks like they are expanding it if they are opening the lots earlier.

The hospital bought the place where we tailgate. Saddly this could be our last year there.

The later entry times for RVs kind of blows. It's already a clusterf*ck at 7:00 trying to get into the lots. This means that there will be more people waiting in line to get in. On top of that, factor in the actual process of getting in and parking, setting up on blocks to level out, and then getting the dish/TV set up, and it's going to be around 8:30 by the time your settled in.

One big change is Myrtle is back open to the public. No longer a Silver Hawk level. Love that change, might head back there again this year.

Good catch. After looking it over I think it would suck to be in the Silver Hawk donor level for parking. There really are no good lots specifically for that donor level.

Did notice for 2:30 P.M. games you can only tailgate an hour after and must leave 2 hours after the game. Compared to 11:00 A.M. games where it's 2/3 hour rule. Maybe it was like that before but I never noticed because of lack of 2:30 P.M. games.

Overall I like how they didn't mess with things really.
