Negative posters.

I love posts that attemplt cultural hegemony on message boards.

Good luck with that and another piece of advice: Never tell anyone else how to be a fan - it doesn't work.

I know every one has the right to post their opinion, and they should have. But I do find message boards posters to be more negative than most Iowa fans. I talk to a lot of Hawk fans and most are much more positive. There was a lot of ******** after the Minnesota game, but that was pretty much it. I agree with Jon about not allowing people to rip on players. Why anyone would want to do this, I have no idea.

Those "fans" you talk to obviously aren't as big of fans as we are here. I'll poop in the punchbowl when anyone tries to be positive about a loss like MN or to Nebraska fans winter vacation home in BBall yesterday.

Not only that, all the posters that think they can exert their drunken authority over everyone else!

Face it CUN3, you'd poop in any punchbowl for the hell of it!

I agree about fans that complain about winning ugly. Now, that said, it is fine to discuss various plays that could have gone better ect. It is a fine line between constructive analysis and flat out negativity as a mindset.

I try to differentiate between the two before responding positively or negatively to the critic.
For instance,in the Purdue game, I thought comments directed toward our receivers dropping passes or Meyer missing fgs or Vandy fumbling in the end zone are all warranted and worthy of discussion. Blaming KF for McCall's usage was not smart.
