Yup. They had on the 2002(?) FSU game where Wallace comes up short of the goalline on a late scramble just a week or two ago, and I'm sure they've played the 2010 Nebraska game or another one a time or two.

Hell, they even do it with basketball games, even though they have a moderate amount of success in that sport. There was one on the other night (can't remember the specific game) where the description on the guide basically said "the Cyclones battled hard in a valiant effort, coming up short".

I don't really like the "little brother" talk when it comes to ISU, but they make it hard not to use it, that's for sure.

Hey, we were there once-like almost 40 years ago. Hayden's first year, we lost a heart-breaker to Nebraska and played Oklahoma tough in Norman. If the B1G had a network in the 80s we might have seen those games on too.

Maybe, although I don't know if I've ever seen a "moral victory" for any team playing on BTN that didn't happen to be a victory for another Big Ten team.

We need an AD that has a pair that clank enough to dump the Clones in favor of scheduling some non-conf teams that are consistently in the Top-25. THOSE games would produce some memories. THOSE game would create some serious BUZZ! No way anything special will be thought of fondly 20 years from now about us playing ISU...over and over.
And over.

It is ironic that Iowa can go multiple years without playing OSU, or Michigan.....but plays the Clowns every year. Dump ISU!

Yes. Replayed back when we sucked. In other words, only sucky teams replay moral victories.

That absolutely perpetuates the little brother moniker that they have. Neither their fans nor the powers that be at ISU should want that. They’ve beaten Iowa enough times the last 10-15 years that they could play those games on a loop…. Plus a handful of other games. Was that McCarney or another coach of theirs that once said they ‘won the 2nd half’ after having lost the game? Haha I mean that kind of attitude shouldn’t be propped up and embraced.

Nothing endeared Fry to the Iowa faithful more than when early on his first or 2nd year they’d lost a close hard fought game and he said that if any player came off the field happy and smiling he was going to kick their ass or yank their scholly or something like that. To in any way promote a losing atmosphere as being ok is just ridiculous. I don’t care who ya are or what school your talking about.

Winning the 2nd half has a storied history with ISU. The last three or four years it has really increased. I've seen cyfans post they won the 3rd quarter so they deserve the win. I even saw a post that said the clowns won the first 6 minutes and would have won the game easily if the big 12 ref conspiracy took over and ruined it for the clowns.

I've come to the point where I think I've watched every single Iowa highlight video. Its dry out there. We need new great moments. We need Iowa to 'beat somebody' in a bowl. We need to make iowa great again.

Perhaps this will moisten things up a little bit. I hope Kurt has a plan to recruit against this juggernaut.

Ma and Pa Moneybags love to listen to that nice man Ferentz and his nice group of boys play those nice boys from Ames on the radio every September. That Mr. Dolphin, he's such a nice man too.

Such nice young men those foosball players are, Martha, and it's such a gol' darn good game every year.
