Wow, I'm a little in shock as well right now. Such a great program and they might be ruining it for no apparent reason. If anyone of you have met coach Denney they would agree that he is a great man and great coach!

Trev Alberts is an egocentric classless T O O L! Not surprising considering where he matriculated.

When I lived in the area I went to a few UNO football games and there was always a good crowd and the local press gave the program decent support considering their big brother southwest of Omaha.

And to shut down a program that consistently competes for and wins National Championships? Wow.

Now I enjoy both golf and soccer, but that is certainly not a fair trade as far as most are concerned.

A poster on another Iowa board had the idea to have ESPN's outside the Lines do a story on this. Pretty good idea to get some national attention.

I would have thought their program is as finanically stable as many too. National champs several times and one of the largest tournaments each year. I"m sure they make decent money at least on the UNO tournament. I wonder what the future of that will be. Dropped too i imagine.

This is a great idea. Normally I'd say there is little chance they'd take on a story like this, but with the fact that it's Trev Alberts who was fired by ESPN I wonder if that makes it more appealing to them.
