Great hire! He has won at every stop along the way, big time energy guy who will improve their recruiting base, South Dakota native who will fit in perfect at Nebraska, He got Colorado State in the tourney this year. For Nebby I think it was a good hire.

As much as we like to make fun of Nebraska, we have the same limitations and obstacles when it comes to recruiting. Tim Miles is a program builder just like Fran McCaffery. Great hire for Tom Osborn.

This post is full of fail. Iowa has significantly more men's basketball history than Nebraska. Far more tournament appearances/success, way more players drafted into the NBA, bigger name coaches have come through Iowa, etc. Iowa also has far less obstacles to recruiting being 5 hours further east than Lincoln.

Uh, no. The difference is that Iowa basketball is still better than Nebraska basketball even when we're not at the level we used to be, and unlike Nebraska basketball Iowa football has had success in the past so the situations are barely comparable.

iowa as a state will produce more b10 quality players which makes it easier to recruit. look at how many ncaa bball players the state of iowa has had compared to nebraska no matter what school in the ncaa they went to (not counting mid majors).
