Nebraska fans make me sick

There are tool bag fans for every college team in the nation. You ran into some by the sounds of it. But also, there are good hearted, knowledgeable fans for every fan base as well.

There's gotta be a hundred places in Iowa that claim to have a "famouse giant tenderloin". For the love of bar food everwhere, who really has the biggest breaded tenderloin in the land?

Totally know what you mean. I have been to at least 3 bar/grills that claimed to have the best one in Iowa, and two of them weren't worth the bun. The best one I have ever had EVER, was in a small cafe in Menlo. They don't talk it up, brag, or advertise the thing either... There was a small war/contest going on at one time between some joints in Elk Horn, Exira, Audubon, and Hamlin. I know the Place in Hamlin is or was called Darrel's, and it won like a statewide contest. Pretty sure one of the bars in Elk Horn was featured in a book because of their loin. There's also a DAMNED good one in a hole-in-the-wall bar called Tojos in Jamaica... FYI

IMO you could have taken the red T-shirts off of the Nebraska fans and put Michigan's or OSU's colors on and you would have the same fans. You may think Nebraska fans are arrogant but they don't compare to OSU or Michigan. The only difference is that Iowa fans and Nebraska fans intermingle more than Iowa fans and Michigan/OSU fans.

In Albuquerque, at our watering hole we (and the MSU fans) ran the Michigan fans out of the bar. Iowa had many more fans watching than Michigan is this bar. Plus the MSU fans gave the Michigan fans hell at every opportunity. It was fun watching MSU fans get incredibly rude to the Michigan fans---and I mean rude. They would sit right next to them and say the rudest stuff. Michigan fans finally just left.

OSU fans will sit in the middle of other fan bases and say such things as "Of course we are a great team, we are Ohio State," or "What do you expect, Ohio State is a great team, of course we get the best talent." You just want to puke all over them.

Nebraska is the perfect fit for the Big 10, right down to their fans.

Ya think if you went to Michigan or Ohio and went to a bar where the Hawks are shown that you wouldn't get the same reception from Michigan/Ohio fans...or Madison, MSU, Penn St, ILLINOIS, Minnesota?

As a graduate of Iowa, and a resident of Des Moines for 27 years, and a resident of Omaha for the last 3 I can tell you Husker fans are some of the worst I have encountered. They think they are classy because they clap for the losing team at home games but that it where it ends. During game days they swear at other teams' fans walking around and in the stand it gets worse. My girl is a KU fan so we went to the game last year and just wearing KU shirt almost made me get in several fights.

Omaha is ok, its right by Iowa and its a cool town, but one second out of Omaha and its very bad. I expect many arrests and problems during the game this year.
