Yep, you'll never see hawk fans be apathetic about a bowl game. Funny to see bug eater fans justify their lack of support for their team.

We were bumped by Big Blue in the 1996 season, and then Iowa bumped Big Blue in 2005.[/QUi

If I remember correctly Michigan was ticked off big time and got that one game jumping rule put in there.

Their apathy for this year may help us in "jumping" them in a bowl match-up scenario, if it were to occur in the next few years.....Hopefully, we are ahead of them in the division each year anyway.

The fans I know are in a daze over their program.
While they were warned that the big is not like the 12, they would not listen. I think they were unable to listen as they still had some sort of love loss in a disturbing and dysfunctional relationship with the 12. This over shadowed any excitement of being in a new conference.
All this was perpetuated with a loss to Nu and a beat down by wisky.
This year the goofs and the hawks took their turn abusing them and that was enough to push them over the edge.
Lest us not forget their coach saying on tape, that the fans could take a flying leap. It may be true that the players love him, but the fan base is who puts butts in seats.
As I know several nebby fans, I find myself taken back to the days when my children were young. You can tell them, but they do not listen and must find out for themselves. When the result is not what they thought it should be, you can see the moment when the confusion sets in. Well that time has arrived in Nebraska.

The best case scenario in my mind is for Iowa to have the season we all expect next year. Then Nebby rebounds in 2015, with the Black Friday game deciding the division. With OSU, PSU, and UM on one side of the conference, the league also needs Nebby, Iowa, and Wisky to be noteworthy programs.

That is, until the add the fifteenth team and go to 3 five team divisions .

Its not surprising to see lower tier bowl games lack appeal to fans of any team, let alone a program like Nebraska that has a long history of big bowl games. Add in its a rematch with a team that has had a disappointing season (with lots of injuries) and this isn't a big shock at all.
