Nebby calling out Texas video

only two teams I would EVER consider cheering for texas in.........vs. ISU and vs Notre Dame. Yep, texas has passed U$C on my most hated teams list now that U$C is on probation, thus espn will stop caring.

I think Forde is overreacting to this for the sake of having an "awww SNAP" column to write. The video doesn't say anything about Texas until the end, and then it's just the date of the game and "Beat Texas." Not that shocking considering that everybody and their brother thinks Texas is the biggest game of the year for the Huskers -- with or without the off-season drama. Nor is it shocking that it would be a Red Out game. Just like our Blackouts and Penn State's Whiteouts, it's being planned well ahead of time.

Why focus on Texas and not Oklahoma, their traditional rivals? Oh yeah, that's right, there is no Nebraska/Oklahoma game, because tradition went out the window when the Big 8 became the Big 12. That makes Texas the only marquee matchup on Nebraska's schedule.

Still, if I were overseeing this "teaser" I would have taken out the references to the Texas game, only because it's predictable that people like Forde would be reading all this extra stuff into it. It seems like UNL administration is already regretting how this played out.

too bad you have never had a conference rival. Too bad you will never play nebraska again. Too bad in 5 years you will be in the big sky. Too bad you guys rely on Iowa taxpayers for support. Too bad your stadium is tiny and ugly. Too bad you can't charge 90 bucks a tix to nebraska fans after this year. too bad your sports program is taking it up the A$$ from texas..who will eventually pull out (pun intended) and leave you in a fetal position with your underwear around your ankles.
