CJ may go over 300 yds passing this game.
Yes, typically it's not a good sign having a Ferentz Iowa team's QB going over 300 yrds as that would indicate an imbalance in the offense or Iowa having to catch up. But, in your article it stated that one weakness of the Bison team is that they have given up some passing yards or some long pass plays. IF they can stop Iowa's running game to an extent, I could see CJ trying to exploit their pass D issues. That is the only reason I'm saying he could maybe do it this particular game.
Rob, have you heard any more on Wadley and Mitchell? Seems strange. If they are injured it certainly didn't happen in the game saturday. Wadley was walking around fine after his day was over, and Mitchell was still the punt returner on the last punt late in the game. He fair caught it, so he obviously didn't get hurt on his last play.
I was following you. Just more commenting on CJB and Banks not having a 300-yard game.
Would be a good trivia question - how many times have CJB and BB thrown for 300? But we gave away the answer.
I do think we can throw in these guys.
You would think but I don't think he did. I usually look to see if the QB hit 300 yrd when looking at stats after games and I don't recall too many at all for Iowa. They are usually in the 230 to 270 range, it seems.Tate must have had a bunch when the Hawks were sans running game. Somebody go look that up for me.
There haven't been very times during Ferentz's tenure that the QB has thrown over 300. That could be a trivia question in itself. How many 300 yrd games have happened during Ferentz's tenure at Iowa? Might be under 3.
Vandenberg threw for 399 against Pitt in '11. That's the most in the KF Era.
Can you guess who threw for the second most under KF? I looked it up. Don't cheat.
