NCAA hits Rutgers With 2-year Probation Period

Is it possible that the Big 10 can kick out Rutgers for this? Not that this is such a terrible offense that they need to but they really haven't brought much to the table since joining. Who would be a possible candidate to replace them? Notre Dame would probably be the obvious candidate.

They didn't kick out Pedo State for molesting a bunch of kids. Why would they kick out Rutgers for this?

Rutgers is trash at everything, Penn State has a rich history. I could see this and other violations being used to justify it if they wanted to remove them, but the real reason would be the fact that they are awful and deserve to be in the MAC even more than the Clowns.

Rutgers is in the B1G solely for their market share...ie: New York City. Delany used that NYC market share in his negotiations for the tv rights deals...which got him $2.64 billion from ESPN and Fox. Iowa benefits, monetarily, from Rutgers being in the B1G

The B1G really doesn't care what Rutgers does athletically.
