NCAA Coaching Vacancies

Any early speculation on vacancies throughout the country that we will see at the end of this year?

I think Ernie Kent is out at Oregon, but other than that, I do not really have a pulse on other potential vacancies.

I think it is fun to think about the domino effect that a coaching vacancy has on programs across the country.

Go Hawks!

I think the Big Ten stays intact again this year. The bad teams already have new coaches.
The PAC Ten is bad this year,so I suppose there could be others besides Kent on shaky ground...but have not heard anyone else.

McDermott is about the shakiest Big 12 guy from what I can read.
DePaul already showed Wainwright the door...tracy webster will not be retained, imo.
ACC always is pressure packed...wonder if NCSt's coach is safe?
Arkansas?

Not a lot of huge jobs opening up,unless guys start jumping to the NBA or to other jobs.

My guess is Pollard will be showing McDermott the door at seasons end . He's done little to take the program anywhere ; Hilton magic no more !!

JH-

The unknown always intrigues me. All it takes is for one high-profile job to open up before the coaching domino effect begins.

Go Hawks!

It will be interesting to see what happens these next few months. Once one job opens that usually has a domino effect to everyone else.

I wish Iowa had an opening, but maybe next year we will all get our wish!

I hope ISU doesn't can McDermott, I think he is their guy, he just needs one more year. This year was a tough year with injuries and players leaving. I think he has the tools to have a good team next year, they just need to recruit a decent PG! WOW does that sound familiar?

Really? I think ISU is even farther away from being competitive than Iowa. This was supposed to be the team that finally broke through for McDermott, and they've been arguably his worst squad. Brackins has regressed to the point where he might not even be drafted. Gilstrap probably won't be back next season, once again they have terrible guards. I thought McDermott was a good hire initially but I see no reason to believe he will be able to get this program into the upper tier of the Big XII.
