Just scanning through this thread underscores the reason the strike (well, lockout) was SO poorly timed for the league. Look how much excitement people have right now - there is just an abundance of young blood an up & coming teams across the league. The playoffs were awesome and left everyone really psyched for the start of the next season...just tragic...as an NBA fan, I really hope this doesn't set them back too far, because I think this league is right on the cusp of making a mainstream comeback.
in a glass half full kind of way, this shortened 66 game season could bring a different level of excitement that we arent thinking about. the marathon stretches, later trade deadline and shorter season could be good for the league, as long as the level of play doesnt suffer too much . Many feel that the 82 game schedule is too long anyway.
TNT got it right!!! Can't have an NBA video without a little Steve Alford!!!
He's in the at 1:37-1:38!
I'm a little miffed that DISH network does not have NBAtv in HD like Directv does. Watching me some Jimmer Fredette though. The Stormin Mormon.
I know it's just one game, but is Minnesota maybe possibly going to be a decent team this year? They will be fun to watch if nothing else and I think they're going to steal some wins just by having lots of young legs when they catch teams on the second or third night of a back to back.
If Beasley stops shooting 12 times a quarter maybe. Rubio is fun to watch.
