NBA Finals Game 7 Discussion Thread

This has to be the worst played (on both sides) game 7 ever...in any sport. Brutal

Note to kobe - if you dont win this game your legacy, right or wrong, will be tarnished forever

Lakers exorcised a lot of ghosts tonight....finally beat Boston in a game 7, redemption for 2 years ago...pulling within one championship of Boston for all time championships....good job Lakers!

This game reminded me why I don't watch the NBA anymore---how about mixing in a little 7th grade offense? One -on-one isolation until we score--the Celtics' game plan I guess. I appreciate defense--perhaps more than the average fan---but how about trying to set up some offense to produce a makeable shot? Yuck!

It definitely did not feel like a Finals game 7 that was close to the end. That game was ugly and hard to watch.

I don't get people. They complain that they can't watch the NBA because the players are "too good," but then they say they can't watch it when there's an "ugly game." If you want to watch an ugly game, just watch college basketball, where the only offense is dribbling around for 20 seconds then launching up a 3. NBA is awesome because it's a game of individual battles that make up the team and effect how they perform.

So you are saying that it was bad that the Celtics offense made me yearn for the Butler System??

I thought it was a GREAT game.. hard-nosed defense all game long.. No bad calls influencing the outcome of the game.. etc.

+1 I agree.

Kobe played bad in the first half but found a way to get it done when the game was on the line. Like a true champion, he's the MVP without question. Some say he had a bad game with a stat line of 21 points & 15 RB's as a guard (crazy). How great is a guy who has that type of performance considered a bad outing?

You better win games when you are shooting more than double the FT that the other team was....2 games in LA both with lakers shooting double the FT, hmm who would have guessed that...

It was a bad game for Kobe. He shot 6 for 24 and forced a lot of bad looks. He did get to the line when he had to in the end though. Gasol came through with another huge game for the Lakers, Artest played his best game of the series. Not having Perkins was huge for the Celtics as they got killed on the boards.
