Here are ones I was able to find:

Laurie Bauman (Drake) is the first woman's player to score 3,115 points, 7th all time.
Ashley Joens had 3060 points.
Ally Disterhoft had 2102
Jacqui Kalin (UNI) had 2081
Becca Hitner (Drake) had 2133
Karen Jennings (Nebraska) had 2405
Jan Jensen (Drake) had 1996

Jason Reese (UNI) 2033

There may be others because the list I found goes back to '01-'02. Jensen and Bauman were before that but I looked up ones I thought of from the olden days.

Fun topic, I'll do some more brainstorming.

Thx for the info, these names really add some spice to the list. Good to see more Drake names added to the list.

I remember the Joens gal, if memory serves there were two sisters that both played at ISU. They were from Iowa City and their dad got kicked out of an Iowa/Iowa St game in Iowa City before the game even started. Ashley must be the one that played a bit with the Las Vegas Aces this last year.

And we all know about Jan Jensen averaging 65 ppg in high school before hooking up with Lisa Bluder.

If someone wants to list all the high schools, I'll add them. I don't have the energy to look them all up.

I see that Ashley Joens is currently listed on the roster of the Phoenix Mercury.

And, Meg Gustafson is still on it.

During the Nebraska game yesterday, the announcers mentioned prior to the NCAA's sponsorship of women'[s basketball there was an organization known as the AIAW. They said the leading scorer in AIAW history was Lynette Woodard with 3649 points.

Lynette doesn't get mentioned much but has quite the resume so thought I'd put it in here. She was born and raised in Wichita, KS. She went to Kansas where she set the scoring record. After college she played overseas, mainly in Europe. She was the first female member of the Harlem Globetrotters, and she won a gold medal in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. At age 38 she played in the first year of the WNBA for the Cleveland Rockets. The next year she was taken in an expansion draft by the Dallas Shock who then waived her. Lynette is retired now but her last job was head coach at Winthrop.

3462 - 38 vs Maryland

3489 - 27 vs Penn State

3520 - 31 vs Nebraska

Yeah, Roy Williams has always screwed us at Kansas and North Carolina

I was kinda hoping that we would pick McDermott to follow Lickltier as a basketball coach
