I thought he was just a college kid and that led to inconsistency, but now I think he probably needs a helmet 24/7

He’s a college kid, so let’s be fair. I just more meant his NFL potential and just confidence in him as a starter here at Iowa moving forward.
 
Nate Stanley is Scott Mullen, Jake Christensen, and Nathan Chandler all rolled into one. He’s had shit streaks before but this game cements his horrible decision making. I hope he never sees the field again and Mansell takes the reins from here on out.

Stanley, for all his ability, has shown that he doesn’t even come close to having the mental ability and toughness to succeed in the Big Ten.

Send him packing. He’s had more than enough chances and shown that he can’t lead a team and that he has no confidence in himself. It’s been long enough.

He's fucking worthless and I never want to see him in an Iowa uniform again. He single handedly lost us this game with his bullshit middle school level play.

Completely agree. He offers us nothing. Bench his worthless interception throwing ass.
 
In my preseason picks. I picked Iowa 10-2 with losses to Wisconsin and Penn State.

The offense lost this game. In short. Stanley lost it. How many points did he give Penn State? Two bad picks for sure. Bad head work.
 
I still love the kid. I appreciated his gutsy performance at the end, but he killed us for 3 quarters of this game and Mansell should get a start because of it.

Hats off to defense and special teams today. Couple of mistakes but certainly did their part in keeping us in this game.

He's not good. He's incredibly mediocre and makes horrible decisions and he can't handle any pressure.
 
That is the worst game out of a quarterback in a big game that I can remember...

I agree with the boat also... he really seems slow on his decision making and seems like he can't think for himself.

Even in the 200 min offense right there he was taking way too long... seems to have no situational awareness.

Deer in headlights starting at the coaches all the time.

Was starting to buy in on this kid... but wow just a brutal brutal performance.
