Nate Moore question

Once again what has Ramos done? Yeh he beat some kids that are less than average by big margins.... but how do we know Moore does not do the same or similar thing? I like what I have seen out of Ramos but I am NOT ready to say he will score us more points at nationals than Moore. At the Midlands these guys will see Graff#3, Futrell#6, Sentes#8, Novachkov#9, Ray#14, Ashmore#17 & Mele#19(all rankings off of intermat) and we will see for sure who is going to be the guy.

When did Moore wrestle Hoch? I forgot about that.

He also beat Scott Sentes, which is also pretty impressive.

To be clear, I'm not taking sides, I was just curious to the status of Moore.

Aside from top competition and his own teammates I don't see a lot of these 3-2 matches that people keep laying on Nate. Tony Ramos in the new backup QB. Most popular guy on the team but has yet to have proven anything other than HS accolades and 2 matches at CHA.

No rip on Ramos. I said the same thing on Dennis and Slaton 2 years ago (and was crucified for it) let the best man win. Midlands will tell a lot.

You could say that Moore is a backup QB as well. Clark is the starter based on wrestle offs. I am in Ramos' corner because I feel he gives us the best chance to win by going on the offensive. After looking at Moore's results this year, you can see he's been just as dominate and has wrestled just as poor competition. The only difference is that he got pinned by Minnesota's backup. I think people like Ramos because he wrestles like hawkeyes of old; gets on his offense, runs back to the center, etc. Is he better than Moore, I don't know. Coach has a better idea than we do and he decided to put Ramos out there both times last week.

Reiter is way better than anyone Ramos has wrestled to date and Moore whipped his rear later the same day.

Like pump said, coach has a better idea than we do and he's put Ramos [and Kerr] on the mat so far. Time will tell, but there will be debate on these 2 weights all season. If Marion returns we'll have debate on 3 weight classes

So, what has Moore done?
Moore was 13-7 last year. Most of his wins are against the same types of wrestlers we've seen Ramos beat. Sentes was his best win, he had a close losses to Fanthorp and Hoch. What is more telling about Moore is how inconsistant he is. His effort verys match to match, practice to practice. Loses to guys he's more talented than. Lost last year and this year in his head to head matches with Clark.

Midlands will tell us alot, but it's also telling that right now Brands has worked with Moore for two years and is not running him out there, he obviously expects more out of the weight.
