Pretty good article Nate Kaeding wrote about his whirlwind first three days with the Fish:

Former University of Iowa kicker Nate Kaeding is an occasional guest-contributor to the Hlog. He was waived by the San Diego Chargers in midseason after being placed on injured reserve with a groin injury. In this essay, he offers a look at how he went from free agency/unemployment in San Diego last week to signing and playing for the Miami Dolphins.

Agreed but lets be honest, it was just time before he was picked up. He is widely considered the most accurate kicker in NFL history.
Yea no doubt. He was going to catch on some where next year no matter what. I bet alot of kickers live that bumpy life for the majority of their careers. Case in point Mr Cundiff. He's bounced around alot. This was Kaedings first taste of how the other half of kickers live. He had it about as good as a kicker could being on the same team for as long as he was making what he was not to mention being in San Diego of all cities. Now Carpenter for Miami is he under contract next yr? Any chance Kaeding ends up there next yr too or will Kaeding be shopping around I'm sure he's just signed on thru this wk. There's always 3-5 teams out there unhappy with their kickers he'll find a job next yr just hope it's a good fit for him.
