1) If you’re asking for a “top 4,” that’s called a “Rushmore,” not a top 4. Get with the program.

Now that that’s out of the way, here is the correct Iowa RB Rushmore...

Not the top, but some that definitely deserve mention:

Tony Stewart
Nick Bell (my all time fav)
Ladell Betts
Ed Podolak
Dennis Mosley (Fry's 1st big time RB at Iowa)
Bob Jeter
Sam Brownlee (nearly identical stats as Kinnick)

Brownlee is the epitome of Iowa football. The kid knew his role and limitations. And we won ten games that year, many with that kid starting at tailback.
 
I'm going only with backs I've seen play. I have Nick Bell (a true beast that ranks highly for me because I met him a few times and he seemed like a good guy), Shonn Greene (Sean Duong still can't remember what hit him), Tavian Banks (stuck playing on some bad teams) and Fred Russell. Throw in Sedrick Shaw as honorable mention.

I KNOW IT WASN'T A MOUNT RUSHMORE THREAD. SOME MORON BROUGHT UP MOUNT RUSHMORE AND I HAD TO TELL HIM IT WAS RACIST AND THAT "TOP 4" IS NOW THE CORRECT TERM BECAUSE WE NEED TO JETTISON MOUNT RUSHMORE FROM OUR VOCABULARY. I AM GOING TO TRY TO GET YOU BAND BECAUSE I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG.

I forgot about Stanley's rushing ability. Good call. King of the QB sneak. Probably the career leader in 1st down conversion percentage on rushing attempts.

Side note: he should be the Vikings back-up QB for no other reason than this. What a weapon. But I think they are tanking this year, so maybe next year.
