Name that Iowa Freshman Point Guard

He's playing pretty well, not great, not perfect, but pretty well. I cheer for JBo cause he is the starting PG for my favorite college team, just like I did with Mikey G.

What the blue hell do you care either if we (and by we I mean everyone but you) think JBo can be a good, maybe even great PG in the future.

I watch the games, he makes some errors, but he shows every single sign that he should improve almost every facet of the game.

Now, quote some more stats....

He's not though. He's a liability on defense and shooting 34% from the floor. Uhl and CW aren't playing well this season either.

Bohannon 2pt % is 30.4%

Mike's last year was 40.3 and that was actually the worst of his career, his freshman year it was 45.9%

That's why I laugh when people think Mike was so bad offensively but he had a higher FG% than Bohannon has by far every year in his career

and like 2 weeks ago Bohannon's % was about 22%, That's gone up quite a big in just a few games, you better hope that trend doesn't continue...huh?

stay focused, we're not talking about Uhl or CW. I contend Jbo is playing well, cause I watch the games. I also believe that if the team as a whole played better defense, it would help him a lot on defense. 34% is pretty good, given where he shoots most of his shots.

He's getting better, too... you your chagrin

Shooting 34% from the floor is pretty good? Haha you can't be serious

I know right? Shoulda dumped Jeff Horner after his freshman year too since he was less productive and shot worse. Horner will never have a record setting career.

Who said it, when, and in what context? You think a lot a things....find quotes or it didn't happen.

Context is the key thing. I bring up bad parts of Mikes game in response to twins saying he was irreplaceable. If he didn't pretend point guard was so good last year that average would be a huge drop off this year, I wouldn't say anything about Mike.

Yeah Horner really struggled his freshman year shooting

But he was clearly a good shooter. Bohannon's percentage will always be lower than what he really is this year because of how bad he shot the first handful of games. The more games get played, the more his percentage will rise close to what he really shoots, which is probably close to 40%.

He's shooting 26% from the floor the last two games

And I will concede that Williams has been really bad. But remember a couple things. First off, mine was a prediction on who would be second leading scorer. The people who picked Uhl has just as wrong a guess as me. And speaking of Uhl, he is way worse this year than last. Things like that happen all the time in sports. Just because Williams and Uhl went into a funk this year doesn't mean predicting them to be good at the beginning of the year is dumb.

Just so we're clear. Bohannon has better stats than EVERYONE on the list of freshman which includes the best since the 80's. Everyone on the list got better as they played their career. Yet you think that Bohannon is already a failure at PG and can't get any better. Got that right?

I never said Bohannon can't get better, I'm saying he's a below average Big Ten PG right now and one of the worst players on a NIT bubble team. People talk like he's been playing well this year when he hasn't been
