My Top Ten Hawkeye BBALL Players Ever

Surprised to see so few people putting Reggie "double-double" Evans on the list (so far only two people). Some people can obviously see the big picture and include older greats, but Evans was one of our most dominant players in recent memory (this is to say, the lists that have older, better players instead of RE aren't deficient)...and by dominant I mean that he was the kind of force down low unlike anything we've seen since he headed to the Nuggets. Of course, he usually missed the shots down low, but he did lead the nation in free-throws attempted!! And don't forget about his (nation-leading?) streak of consecutive double-doubles.

My own list of favorite RECENT players:

Evans
Oliver
Woolridge
Horner (remember those precision no-look passes!?)
Kenyon Murray
Jaacks
Haluska
K-Skillet
D-Moore
#50 (muttonman knows what I'm talkin about)

My list is a top 3

1) The great Andre Woolridge
2) Rod Thompson
3) Rod Thompson's giant backside (so large it counts as another player)

That wasn't any kind of post about Iverson's career. I was just pointing out that just the mere fact of having the ball in your hands an inordinate amount of time compared to everyone else is generally going to cause your stats to increase.

He was a POINT GUARD, which means, by definition, that he had the ball in his hands more than anyone else. But that in and of itself is not going to inflate your stats. If it does, then why doesn't a point guard always lead a conference in both points and assists?

It appears that you have a personal beef with Woolridge. Something is certainly clouding your judgment, there's simply no doubt about it.

Andre Woolridge would make my top ten of all time over rated players

Wow, did you ever watch that Iowa team play his senior year? Without him that team might not have 10 games, they were so many times when they would just give the ball back to Andre with like 5 seconds on the shot clock and be like "OK Andre, do something". He kept Iowa in the game with the No. 1 team in the country, Kentucky, in the NCAAs. Rick Pitino called him the best guard he played against that year. Despite leading the Big Ten in points and assists, which apparently you think is easy to do if you're a ball hog, he wasn't even B10 player of the year. How in the world do you think he is overrated?

Do you really believe the crap that you spew out on these boards? Or do you just like to be "cool" and "edgy" by having an opinion that differs from others? Seriously, I don't get some people. Woolridge overrated? If you want to believe that then go right ahead being wrong. I'd put you as my number 1 overrated poster on the internet

and based on this statement i would put you as my number 1 most unoriginal poster on the internet.Maybe I am trying to be "cool" and "edgy", so what. Or maybe I'm not and I think Woolridge was overrated, so what? It seems like you are kind of trying to be "cool" and "edgy" by calling my posts crap and differing with my opinion just because I don't agree with you.

Hmmmm...

Nope, it's the fact that on every thread you have to chime in with a dissenting opinion. Which has led me to the conclusion that you don't really have an opinion, you just like to stir the pot. Congratulations, sir. You have earned the ignore status

It seems to me that you're only ignoring him because you don't want to read his posts any more.

One of the dopiest posts ever, rivaling the infamous EverHawk Paki O'Meara post. This should go into somebody's siggy.

I was at that Iowa/Kentucky game, in Utah IIRC. Just a jaw-dropping performance by Woolridge.

(Sorry cliche, nothing personal. Smart people can do dumb things. I have tremendous experience with this concept)
