My Post-Spring Top 25

Nobody can really call it "crap about the MWC (Boise is in the WAC, btw)". They've been successful. Utah has come in and DOMINATED both of their BCS bowl berths. Boise pulled off a big upset against OU. Hawaii was firmly overmatched in the trenches by Georgia. That's the only loss by non-BCS schools in BCS bowl games. I'm not counting Boise vs. TCU. That was done intentionally, IMO.

If Boise or TCU came into the NCG and won (fairly convincingly), wouldn't that prove that they deserve to be there (especially considering they aren't just a one year wonder anymore)? If they got blown away, then you could call it crap. But until then, their track record is pretty good.

And don't knock on their schedules. They try to get out and play the "big boys", and they get shot down. Big schools are scared to play them. If you want them to go away, man up and beat them down, don't run and hide when they come calling.

If they really wanted to try to work something out realistically with some big time schools, they could get it done. Besides, that's not what I get upset about anyway. I just get tired of hearing everyone talk about the big wins that these school have come up with in bowl games. It's one thing to game plan for one game and throw every thing you have at it. It's quite another when you have you plan for a quality opponent week in and week out like you have to in a major conference. Boise St and TCU play one or two higher tier teams to start the season, then have 8 weeks to play mostly creampuffs. I'm just sayin', if these guys were in major conferences, they may still have good teams, but there is no way they keep having undefeated seasons year in and year out. At best they could hope for having 3 and 4 loss seasons with regularity.

Boise State plays maybe one or two teams early and then creampuffs. The MWC does not. They'll get out and schedule a quality opponent or two OOC (TCU and BYU have both played with Oklahoma recently, and both have beaten the Sooners), and then the top part of that conference is pretty good. So the MWC does have a pretty solid resume, certainly better than that of the Big East or ACC these days.

I guess I am not mad at all of what he picked and how he picked them... I see Iowa is # 5 which puts us in our own drivers seat if we want a chance at the NC. I like what I see and would love more of it! Keep up the good work!

Boise St loses at least 2 games this year and maybe 3, VA Tech, Osu, and Fresno always gives them fits, finish ap poll #18
