When Cezar commited else where, the sky was fallling.... and now? The optimism is off the wall! LOL

Just shows how fickle we fans are! :p
 
Ya and now the overhype begins. I don't have enough time to go back and count all of the "its all about what happens on the court" posts I have seen on here in my life.
 
I think Fran just needs to get off the recruiting trail and find a time machine, cause I wish the season would start tomorrow.
 
There were a lot posts about how Fran can't close the deal, we hired the wrong coach and next year will be another wasted year.

I'm worried that I spend way too much time on this forum but the Hawks have been my team since Downtown Freddy Brown and after the last few yrs. today feels pretty good, I keep justifying my time spent on this forum by saying there are a lot worse internet sites than Hawkeyenation.

I'm just looking at this class and imagining it with Cezar added- wow. And we were in his final 2. If he had only waited until the end of April to decide...

Yeah, that would be a sick class if we would of added him. Oh well very solid class without him.
 
Things were never as bad as many made them out to be, and right now things arent perfect either

Its a long work in process but Fran will get it done

I agree and there was never any doubt that Fran would be able to get some quality players to come to Iowa in this class, now he has four.

The process can be long, but I think Iowa has a great foundation in place and these four players are pieces that make it stronger. The process doesn't have to be long if quality players are being brought in, two years, eight quality players...not bad.

It isn't a long process when there is a quality coach in place either. Where will Iowa finish next year, don't know, but Iowa is much better off today than they were at this same time last year.
 
Forget Cezar, people were losing their minds over not getting Washpun when the same people werent thrilled when Iowa offered him ;)
 
Of course there were a lot of negative posts...the same 10 guys were jamming up multiple threads with the same chicken little bs...Ryno's probably sick to death wondering when the other shoe will drop because this "can't really be happening"...it wasn't just Ryno, but he can take a good ribbing, so I used him as an example.
 
There hasn't been this much buzz about Iowa BB since the early years of the Alford era. McCaffrey reminds me of Lute Olson - a quiet confidence and a tremendous work ethic. I also love his fire on the sidelines. It is just great to watch. I think we have a chance to be a .500 team this year, which could mean some type of post-season tourney.

Frankly, it is a great time to be a Hawkeye fan. Iowa FB is looking up after the bowl win and a good spring practice. Cautious optimism!!!

AT LEAST WE AREN'T OHIO STATE FANS. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE TRAIN WRECK IN COLUMBUS!!!
