Murph and Andy - Please Go Away

I can't stand Keith and Andy. Seems like all of their bits are recycled every year. Thank God for Sirius.
 
I don't think they do sports well, and Murph playing lapdog to Andy gets old. But they can be funny. But not much on sports.

Murph and Andy have a very entertaining show and I podcast their show everyday. However when they say they're objective I roll my eyes to the back of my skull. Their tone differs when switching from Cyclone talk to Hawk talk. As far as TNT I can deal with travis but Tim and his "wishy-washy goals-in-motion" attitude can shack up with the cot-man. Ross Man rulez. Listen to Vision of Disorder's "the Enemy", that song is t*ts!!!!!

Murphy is lame, he tries way to hard to act like Andy. Its not chemistry its just weird.

I would much rather listen to Andy with Chris Hassel, who is actually pretty funny.

Overall I don't understand the show being on a sports station because they really don't know much about sports. They talk about Iowa and ISU and probably %80 of the listening audience knows more about the topics than they do.

Even during the peak of the college football season they still have segments with a guy talking about movies and one where they talk to some women about clothes and hair. It really baffles me.

They just don't seem to know or really care much about sports and they seem to go out of their way to not offer opinions, which is really the opposite of what you should be doing on a sports show.

I agree. They say they are sports journalists, and as such they are bound by professional ethics to be objective in their reporting. Yet the minute they inject editorializing into their stories, which they do on a regular basis, all objective credibility flies out the window. I more closely align them with sports columnists for a newspaper, free to express their opinions based on biases and subjectivity. It's obvious, no matter how much they state to the contrary, they have certain biases. Which is fine and good for a radio talk show, but biases should never be evident during an eight minute sports segment on the local evening tv news.

A little off subject but I do believe the Whotv 13 sports does pull most of their Hawk news of this site and forums. Jon should get a cut lol.
 
I agree dyerhawk... but I don't think they are the only ones. You can tell they don't dig to deep to get a real feel for Hawk fans feelings on certain issues. They just scan these threads and report that "most" Hawk fans feel such as such, based only on the few that post on here. :rolleyes:
 
Murph and Andy are far better than anything we have now (after the end of another Miller and Deace). Tim Fisher in the morning is by far the worst talk show host in DSM, and as an added bonus he is a morbidly obese liberal.

The fact that Murphy says he is objective is exactly my point. He's not. He is a cyclown. Why doesn't he just admit it. His wife is an ISU grad. He is too afraid of her to say anything bad about them. Also, he is just following Deace and Terrell's formula of trying to p*ss of Iowa's fan every chance he gets. Every time anything bad happens concerning Iowa football, he goes off on the Rhabdo thing. Like Ferentz would let his own kids do something that was going to hurt them. What a moron.
 
I think Vint and I should have a show. we could talk about religion and beer..which is pretty much the same subject. We could crack beers open and talk about sports what it is we are drinking and then crack into the summa for some philo/religion smack down.

Chris Hassel should have his own show, either in the morning replacing tNt or in the spot vacated by JM and Deace.
 
I don't love or hate Murph and Andy, but I'm not in the car from 2-4 so I don't listen anyway. As someone said, anything is better than Travis and Tim or Cotler.
