Murals in Kinnick

As a fan, I think a cool idea for Kinnick Stadium would be to add some murals to the interior stadium walls of some famous plays in Hawkeye football history. There is already a sculpture of the 1939 Iron Men vs. Notre Dame along one of the walls, and I think it would be cool to see a few of the following plays depicted in some type of mural form along some of the other walls in the stadium.

Plays that could be muraled:
Houghtlin’s kick to beat Michigan
Cook’s TD catch to beat OSU
Halloway’s catch
Murray’s FG over PSU
Clark’s 4th down TD catch over Purdue
Long’s bootleg TD to beat MSU

My personal vote for a mural would be a split Tim Dwight mural. One half of the mural would show Tim’s final punt return TD against Minnesota the last time he touched a ball in Kinnick. The other half would be Timmy D destroying an Arizona punt returner just as he fielded a punt – to me those 2 plays symbolized my all time favorite Hawk.

I like where your heads at, but I'm not sold on the mural idea really. I think something would be cool, more along the lines of previous AA's or something like that. I think a mural of a popular play is to busy... idk, I just don't think it would work.

Sometimes less is more (or rather "better"). I like the huge color photos they hang on game days. But I'd hate to see a classic building like Kinnick junked up like a strip mall.
