MSU will not be able to run the ball like that against us

I'm more scared of @ Michigan than I am about Michigan State @ Iowa.

I expect us to struggle (thats what we do) with Michigan.. 'should' win by 7-10 points.

I would rate Michigan State's offense above Iowa's right now. They have a two or three excellent RB's, a decent line and Cousin's is solid at QB. On defense I think they are a step behind Iowa. Particularly in the secondary. But they are playing in Iowa City. So we have a edge.

Michigan not so good on defense. Decent on offense with Robinson. Stop Denard Robinson and Michigan crumbles. I don't see Iowa giving up more than 10 points next week.

No Heisman for Robinson. ...Kind of like last year when they talked up Forcier.

You guys are nuts if you think Michigan won't get more than 10 points on us! They put 28 on us last year WITH OUT Robinson!!! Now, their defense will help us score points because they are gawd awful.

But honestly MSU has the best remedy to beat Iowa, wear down our D-line with 3 dependable RBs at or over 230lbs!! We have 1 dependable RB at 200 lbs. This is going to be a physical game and I think the best thing going for us in this game is the fact that everyone will be talking up Sparty and their road to 12-0 (Iowa is only team left on their schedule they could lose) while forgetting about us because we have lost already.

Food for thought, MSU will be 8-0 coming into Iowa City looking to go 9-0...sound familiar??

Michigan State is, outside of OSU, the one team in the Big Ten that can match us punch for punch. That game last year was CRAZY physical. And now their offense is more physical. They won't run wild against us, but I'm expecting a game similar to last year's. It's going to be old school Big Ten football. I'm much more worried about MSU than Michigan.

MSU has 2 backs at 230. Baker is 208 lbs, and a scatback. Caper and Bell are the bruisers (with some speed too). But Caper hasn' been used hardly at all (just 60 yards on 15 carries this year). He's very capable if pressed into action, though.

The running game has been terrific, but the receivers are VERY dangerous. Dell and Cunningham are both big, fast guys who can make plays. And Keshawn Martin is lightning in a bottle, a threat to score every time he touches the ball.

Yeah, MSU looks good right now. Have they beaten anyone with a defense that has a pulse?

Michigan didn't. ND didn't. Iowa's offense is lightyears ahead of where they were last year, and our D is better.

Cousins is good, but everyone looks better when they have all day to throw and the running game is gashing through ten foot wide holes at the line of scrimmage.

As for Michigan, same old Rich Rod team. Good offense, though undersized, and terrible defense.

Yeah. We should just forfeit the rest of the games cause they're so great. We've NEVER beaten Wisconsin.

Oh, wait. I just looked it up, we HAVE beaten them. The last two wins over Wisconsin have been Iowa 56-Wisconsin 26. If beating Wisconsin is what makes you great we should have already been crowned national champions.

MSU is a good team, no doubt...but we're "For Real," too.

If Michigan State kicks our ***, I'll apoligize and say you were right. I don't think that'll happen.

Um, nobody here is saying that Sparty will walk in and beat us. But they are the best bet outside of OSU.

Please explain "What" and "Who" we have beaten this year to crown us "For Real". The BEST offense we've played in terms of total yards is 38th ranked Arizona.... and we lost.

Outside of the AZ game we've played some absolutely pathetic offenses. We scored 17 points on Penn State at home. You can say we shut down the offense or something like that, but Illinois put up twice that many points against Penn State @ Happy Valley today.

I'd like to think we're "For Real" but we haven't done anything or played beating anyone thus far to say we're "For Real"

That was one of the most physical games I've ever seen.

Agreed. That was easily the most physical game I've ever seen. Not even close. And I'm a big fan of that kind of game. I could watch that game over and over and over, even if hadn't gone our way.
