At Iowa. Love that Oliver behind the back pass.

The game against UConn was a fun one to watch also. I was at The Fieldhouse on spring break from UNI and the atmosphere was amazing.

That was a great little run & Iowa had the eventual champs Uconn on thr ropes and could have won with a shot or two falling towards the end.

The one thing that ****** me off listening to the commentary is they kept saying Mr. Davis was retiring which was not the case.

Since Mr. Davis I think Iowa has only won 1 NCAA tourney game.
 


There's a great shot of the team around Mr. Davis after giving him the game ball. You can tell how much his guys loved him.

I hadn't thought of that. That is incredibly depressing. Mr. Davis would have taken us multiple times, there is no doubt...

The tides have turned tho, Fran will get it done.

I don't believe we have a single NCAA victory, do we?

The "retiring" sh!t was put out there out of "respect" (if you can call it that) for Mr. Davis.

It's shamefully what we (collectively) did to Mr. Davis. I was one of the Alford/Next-Level Kool-Aid drinkers and I'll just never forgive myself. Even if things had turned out better with Alford, I will still feel horrible for how Mr. Davis was run out of town.
 


Great memory. Would have had many more in the last 10 yrs or so except for the total incompetence of Bob Bowlsby. What an increditably stupid move.

Yes, IA had one NCAA tournament win against Creighton in the early Alford years (must have been 1999 or so).

Fran is getting us on track thank goodness. Hang on tight and enjoy the ride!
 






One more shotout for the good Dr.

Mr. Davis no matter what school he was at NEVER lost a first round NCAA tourny game.

Brings us back Fran I miss the tourney bigtime. The only good thing about Iowa not making the tourney is it is easier to do my brackets. (I always picked with my heart and not with my head...)
