that meathead Andy Kaufmann from IL in the 89. Hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer to beat Iowa in Champaign. Out of bounds throw length of the court with 1.5 sec, catch and shoot. He was really annoying BEFORE he made the shot.

No doubt. I was thinking more along the lines of Jack in The Shinning. Douglas was cool as a cucumber when he set out on his path.

Opposing fan bases hate coaches that win and Fran is starting to do that.

Also I find it funny when we rip opposing coaches for working the refs and arguing calls because Fran does that with the best of them. The Wisconsin fiasco highlighted that for other fan bases
 
I have a problem with 2 coaches in the BIG and 2 only. Izzo and Ryan. I have a problem with them because they argue every single foul called on their players. EVERY SINGLE CALL. As if their players are not capable of fouling. That's the most annoying part about them and it has nothing to do with them winning games. Matta wins games and he doesn't do that. I have no problem with him. Crean is just creepy but he won the conference last season and I have no problem with him. He obviously won games. Bielien wins games but doesn't whine about every foul called. Even Fran, who can go completely nuts (which I don't care for) doesn't argue every foul call.
That's the reason opposing fans HATE those coaches. Freaking whiners! Nobody likes a whiner.

I don't think Izzo whines to refs very much. He's closer to a slave-driver regarding refs, yelling at them until they do what he wants. But Bo, with his stupid arms up mouth open pose he always does, is a whiner to end all whiners.

I don't get the Craft hate, it's not his fault the refs call things the way they do.

I am so used to iowa coaches just bending over when the whistles are flying that I never thought of it this way. I am ok with iowa having the annoying coach. Those other coaches that are in the officials ears, often get their way. We hate them because they win and get those calls. If that is the opponent's definition of fran, frantastic, about time.
