Moss now a Viking

For a third round pick. I don't know if Moss would want to re-sign with the vikings when we'll have so many wr's next year. If it is only a one year deal we have with moss, I don't like it...Unless the Vikes can win the Super bowl this year:p

The Patriots only gave up a 4th rounder to get him. They weren't going to resign him after the season. Now they have 2 picks in each of the first 4 rounds in next draft. I hope they get some Hawks on their team.

its good for me don't have him in either league and i play him this week!

Bad part is he starts against Revis in his first game as a Viking. On MNF. In Favre's return to NY. Think ESPN will have fun with this?!

Also, Moss will be the first player since 1987 to play on MNF two weeks in a row. Lastly, he does not get a bye week and could play in 17 NFL games this season. Anyone remember any other players having this happen before?

I doubt it matters much.

The Vikings will probably be sitting at 1-6 after 7 games. 2-5 at best.

The best record I see the Vikings finishing is 9-7. I predict an 8-8 finish with this schedule.

Man, his fantasy value just decreased. That is all I care about. Damn.

Not at all. I would actually like to hear your reasoning here.

Moss gives Favre the downfield threat he's been lacking. Favre had a guy like that last year in Sidney Rice. Moss becomes Sidney and Percy moves back to the slot. Besides, Favre has wanted to play w/ Moss since his days in GB, so if you think Favre will not look for him, I have some land on the moon I'd like to sell you.

Teams are not going to be able to double Moss because they will also have to account for AP, Shiancoe, Percy, and Rice when he gets back. If teams stack the box for AP, it gives Moss one on one coverage on the outside, a match-up Brett will take 7 days of the week.

As far as the Revis thing is concerned, what did Moss do to him 3 weeks ago? Revis has said his hammy isn't 100% yet, so if he plays, I doubt things are different this time around.

This isn't college football. :D If 9-7 gets in them in the playoffs....do you want to have to play them??

I think his fantasy value is down as well and I have him on one of my teams. He won't be cracking my starting lineup this week unless andre johnson is scratched again.

He goes from having one of the better qb's in the league throwing to him, to an old guy well past his prime.

I don't understand the workings of the NFL either. Trading one of the better receivers in the league for a 3rd round pick that most likely will never be a starter. Doesn't make sense to me.

You guys must know more than the experts at Fox, ESPN, SI, etc.

A motivated Moss + the guy whose thrown more TD's than anyone = Moss' fantasy value dropping. Um, ok.

How many times did "washed up" favre throw it up for grabs for Rice last year? Moss is the best deep threat in the game. When he and Favre get on the same page (which they'll have a few practices before Monday night to get some rhythm), watch out.
