Fear not, the defense will choke and if KOK is going to try to "open things up" we are just one bad JVB game away from getting blown out. This fancy offense ain't gonna work come late October and I'd like to see the legacy playbook come back out and stay out. This offense is gonna have big problems against some of the better defenses in the Conference, such as Illinois and OSU and I don't think we'll be able to match up point for point with Wisconsin, as I see them scoring on every drive against this defense.

OK4P...I'm just glad we don't play Army. And when you consider BC got beat by Duke, well, those wins NW has don't look all that impressive.
We will worry about Nebraska at the end of the year. If we are playing Wisky, I'll be thrilled as it means we are in Indianapolis.
It appears Pitt shut down ND today...hmmm, maybe our offense won't regress in Oct/Nov. I have to say, we appear to be built to last...as the protection has been outstanding and we don't even have our best OL on the field yet. Nolan Mac will be back and the depth just keeps getting deeper.
As far as I can tell, a pass rush is the only concern I have right now. They need an DE to step up or change something on 2nd and long, 3rd and long.

Sorry, I just checked the schedule. How the hell do we not play Illinois? We haven't played them bince the day Norm gagged the game away to Juice Williams with a stellar Iowa prevent D back in 2008 - seems like they should have rotated back on our schedule. I also thought we were 'posed to play sconny every year. What gives?

Fitzy the Cat's stellar coaching resume this year, but I honestly think this is the year NW wins a bowl game. 60 years is long enough. I've heard Fitzy has moved a bowl game win ahead of beating Iowa on their goals this year. Good move Fitzy!!!

With what this offense has done to Pitt, ULM, Tennessee and ISU (with 3 OTs), I don't see anyone beating this team if we just get the defense rolling. Irregardless, Fitzy owns Kurt, but this is the year we will win the national title.
